Every year MUSINK unites fans of punk rock music, tattoos and custom cars. This year the event took place from Friday, March 8 till Sunday March 10 2019 at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa. A Rockstar Energy booth was already greeting fans at the entrance of the venue and bag checks and security didn’t take too long and attendees got quickly inside the venue.

As soon as people enter the MUSINK event grounds they are greeted by the Low and Slow Car Show, which was situated between two of the three Tattoo Halls. Attendees took the time to look at the different vibrant custom made cars and took pictures.

The VIP Area was situated next to the music stage and next to the third Tattoo Hall, which had been added this year to make room for more tattoo artists.

The food options at MUSINK are diverse. There were Tacos and BBQ and also vegan options. Later in the evening the coffee stand became a hit as most visitors tried to get some caffeine in before the last musical acts performed.

As every year tattoo fans can sign up for the tattoo competitions in different categories as Traditional (small and big), Realistic, Color (small and big), Black and White (small and big), Back, Front, Arm, Leg, Lettering and Music Related. There was also a Rockstar Lounge, where the Rockstar Energy drink was sampled.

Another highlight of MUSINK is the voting of Miss MUSINK. A jury nominates a girl as Miss MUSINK every year. Also this year Freddy Black, a known black and white tattoo artist, received an award for his accomplishments.

The various Tattoo Competitions also enjoyed great popularity. A jury evaluates the tattoos in each category and rewards them with prizes for place 1 till 3. Some people present their tattoos they just got done at MUSINK while others present their tattoos they got a while ago.

The tattoo convention has been increased this year, so tattoo fans could see even more artists and their work and probably get inspired for their own next tattoo.
