Das Sonic Temple + Art Festival wird 2019 das Rock on the Range Festival ersetzen. Festivalgründer und -veranstalter Danny Wimmer begründete die Namensänderung damit, dass Festival Besuchern mehr geboten werden sollte u.a. Kunst, Comedy und umfangreiche kulinarische Essstände.

Am Wochenende vom 17 – 19. Mai wird das Sonic Temple + Art Festival zum ersten mal im MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio statt finden. Das musikalische Line-up wird auch 2019 schwer zu schlagen sein. Als Headliner werden die Foo Fighters, System of a Down, und Disturbed die Besucher an 3 Tagen unterhalten, unterstützt werden sie dabei u.a. von Bring Me the Horizon, Ghost, Chevelle, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, The Cult.

Als Comedy Acts stehen Andrew Dice Clay und Pauly Shore auf dem Line up, sowie Henry Rollins, der ein Spoken Word Set präsentieren wird.

Ticketpreise starten bei $175 bis $199 für das ganze Wochenende, VIP packages beginnen bei $379 und RV Camping Packages beginnen bei $250 und gibt es ab sofort hier.

The Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival will become Columbus’ newest concert and comedy event and will replace the popular rock festival Rock on the Range at MAPFRE Stadium in May. U.S. music festival producer Danny Wimmer, who organized festivals as Chicago Open Air, Louder Than Life and Welcome to Rockville, felt the audience deserved also to get the art and the secondary entertainment. With the new name the festival plans to expand on the festival experience and debut art installations as well as better food options and stand-up comedy sets.

The Sonic Temple + Art Festival will take place from 17 – 19 May 2019 at the MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. The Festival will still be devoted to rock fans with headliners Foo Fighters, System of a Down, and Disturbed. They will be joined by Bring Me the Horizon, Ghost, Chevelle, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, The Cult and many other up-and-coming acts.

The festival will also feature a Comedy & Spoken Word Tent, which will include stand-up comedy sets from Andrew Dice Clay, Pauly Shore and more and a spoken word set from punk musician and actor Henry Rollins.
