Sabroso Craft Beer, Taco & Music Festival was extended to two days and took place Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7 at Doheny Beach in Dana Point, California.
Sponsored by Rockstar Energy Drink attendees had the opportunity to take pictures with the Rockstar Girls and to try out new Rockstar Energy Drink flavours in the Rockstar Lounge, right next to the music stage. Festivalgoers also had the chance to get a caricature of themselves or to get informed at the Alt 96.7 booth, Los Angeles’ Alternative radio station.
The free beer tasting attracted the masses every day. Until 4 pm attendees had the opportunity to try out a variety of different beers. At the entrances festival goers over 21 received small glasses with the festival logo for the beer tastings. Another highlight of this event are the various taco and food offerings. Patienty festival goers were waiting in line to get their favourite taco. Next to traditional tacos, there were also Thai inspired tacos and vegan tacos.
The merch booth was also very popular and this year buyers had also the option to get their merch directly send home, so they did not have to carry it around the festival. Whoever wanted to play some games like Connect Four or Jenga could find these games at the booth of Southern Californian radio station 95.5 KLOS.
The festival grounds are not too big and there were signs to tell you where to find what. The atmosphere was relaxed and and it never felt cramped even though it was crowded.
The stage was situated in the middle of the festival grounds and as the grounds declined slightly attendees could see the stage well from nearly everywhere. Experienced festival goers brought chairs and blankets so they could sit below the palm trees and watch the musical linup.
The Wrestling matches attracted a lot of people. However you should be cautious as the wrestlers also went into the audience and if you were not careful took you bag as their requisite.
