Mit Slipknot und Tool haben zwei legendäre, kompromisslose Metal-Bands Rock am Ring und Rock im Park exklusiv bestätigt. Zuvor hatten bereits Die Ärzte sowie Marteria & Casper ihre Teilnahme bei den Zwillingsfestivals am Nürburgring und in Nürnberg vom 7. – 9. Juni angekündigt.

Slipknot kehren nach ihren denkwürdigen Headliner-Auftritten in 2015 mit neuem Studioalbum und einer gewaltigen Live-Performance zurück. Tool, einer der prägendsten Progressive- / Alternative-Metal Protagonisten, starten 2019 ebenfalls einen neuen Zyklusmit mit diesen exklusiven Auftritten bei Rock am Ring und Rock im Park. Die Fans erwartet ein einzigartiges Gipfeltreffen zweier Rock-Ikonen.

Fans härterer musikalischer Spielarten können sich auch über die Verpflichtungen von Dropkick Murphys, Slash feat. Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, The BossHoss, Sabaton, Amon Amarth, Feine Sahne Fischfilet, Architects, Alice In Chains, Godsmack, Arch Enemy, Hot Water Music oder Halestorm freuen.

Die Spitze nationaler Hip-Hop und Urban-Musik ist mit Alligatoah, Bonez MC & RAF Camora, Kontra K sowie SDP nahezu komplett am Start und so hochkarätig wie lange nicht mehr besetzt.

Mit der Ankündigung von Indie-Rock- und Crossover-Stars wie Die Antwoord, Bastille, The 1975 und Foals bieten die Festivals einen wie immer breit gefächerten, einzigartigen musikalischen Spannungsbogen.
