South By So What 2014
Das South By So What findet dieses Jahr vom 14. bis 16. März im QuikTrip Park
Grand Prairie, TX statt. Mit dabei sind Bands wie The Used, Taking Back Sunday, Asking Alexandria, Bring me The Horizon, Of Mice & Men, The Devil Wears Prada und Between The Buried And Me. Tagestickets und Wochenende Tikets gibt es hier.
Volcom Pipe Pro 2014
Die Waiting Period der 2014 Volcom Pipe Pro beginnt am 26. Januar.
Zum 5. mal finden die Volcom Pipe Pro, ein ASP 5-Star World Qualifying Series (WQS) Event, an der Banzai Pipeline statt. Die Warte Periode beginnt am 26. Januar und endet am 7. Februar. 112 Surfer, genannt Warrior, werden in dieser Zeit um ein Preisgeld von 130 000 $ und wichtige Punkte für die Qualifizierung zur World Championship Tour kämpfen. Pipeline ist dafür bekannt, einer der anspruchvollsten Surfspots der Welt zu sein und dieser Winter hat der North Shore von Hawaii schon herausragende Wellen gebracht und die Voraussagen der Meterologen sehen sehr gut für Volcom Pipe Pro aus.
Dieses Event hat zudem einen speziellen Stellenwert für die hawaiianischen Surfer, da die 8 bestplatzierten Surfer eine Wildcard für die Billabong Pipe Masters, im Dezember erhalten.

Kelly Slater gewinnt die Billabong Pipe Masters, Mick Fanning neuer ASP World Champion!
Kelly Slater (USA), 41, hat zum 7ten mal die Billabong Pipe Masters in Memory of Andy Irons gewonnen. Slater besiegte John John Florence (HAW), 21, in einem spannendem 35-Minuten Finale, das Slater mit einem knappen Vorsprung gewann. Die Zweitplatzierung für Florence bedeutete für ihn die Krönung zum 2013 Vans Triple Crown of Surfing Champion.
Joey Jordison verlässt Slipknot
Es ist ein schwarzer Tag für viele Slipknot-Fans. Slipknot verkünden auf ihrer offiziellen Seite, dass Drummer Joey Jordison die Band verlässt.

It is with great pain but quiet respect, that for personal reasons Joey Jordison and Slipknot are parting ways. We all wish Joey the best in whatever his future holds. We understand that many of you will want to know how and why this has come to be, and we will do our best to respond to these questions in the near future. It is our love for all of you, as well as for the music we create, that spurs us to continue on and move forward with our plans for releasing new material in the next year.
